STEP 1: DISCLOSURE
 
Full disclosure of all intentionally added ingredients with no cutoff threshold level. Additionally, disclosure of any residuals present at or above 0.01% of the formulation.
 
STEP 2: ASSESS
 
Formulation assessed against the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) (Group B) (v. 1.1)
Formulation assessed against the U.S. EPA Safer Chemical Ingredients List (SCIL)
Formulation assessed against the GreenScreen® (GS) List Translator (LT) to identify LT-1 listed chemicals
 
Perform a ToxFMD™ Polymer assessment of any polymer
Perform a GreenScreen® assessment of any non-polymeric chemical not on the SCIL
Perform an LT-1 Summary assessment of any chemical identified as an LT-1 by the GS List Translator
 
STEP 3: VERDICT
 
ToxFMD™ NOT ACCEPTABLE   ToxFMD™ ACCEPTABLE
The ToxFMD™ Review has determined:
  • At least one chemical present in the product formulation is:
  • Listed on the ZDHC MRSL (Group B) (v. 1.1) of Hazardous Chemicals at or above the specified formulation limit
  • Considered "Not Acceptable" under the ToxFMD™ Program Criteria
AND/OR
  • The total product formulation contains >10% U.S. EPA SCIL Yellow Triangle scored chemicals
 
  • ToxServices provides opportunities for continuous improvement and chemical optimization
ADDITIONALLY
  • The Client can address chemicals of concern and resubmit to the ToxFMD™ Program
 
The ToxFMD™ Review has determined:
  • No chemical present in the product formulation is:
  • Listed on the ZDHC MRSL (Group B) (v. 1.1) of Hazardous Chemicals at or above the specified formulation limit
  • Considered "Not Acceptable" under the ToxFMD™ Program Criteria
ADDITIONALLY
  • The total product formulation contains ≤10% U.S. EPA SCIL Yellow Triangle scored chemicals
 
  • ToxServices' ToxFMD™ Certificate allows suppliers to demonstrate compliance with ToxFMD™ Criteria without divulging proprietary information
